Below you will find answer to the most common questions we get at Pandora Entertainment. If you have questions that weren’t answered here please let me know so I can add it to the list :).
Who Are You?
I am Jordan Keith, Founder of Pandora Entertainment.
Who will I be working with?
Me and my team.
Webcam modeling can be a very isolating & lonely experience. I have taken every step I can to ensure that is not the case with us. As a model with Pandora Entertainment you will be assigned a dedicated manager that will also serve as your coach online. This will be a veteran webcam model who is already making a good living as a webcam model. I realized these would be the absolute best people to have as coaches and decided to retain their services.
Will I be working with other models?
Not exactly. You will be logging in solo when you work.
However, we’ve built an awesome system that allows all of our models to connect and become friends. You will have close contact with the other models that are handled by the same manager as you. You will also be able to hang out online with the other models that work with us. This is an opt-out feature of working with Pandora Entertainment. This means that we assume you will want to take part in it and set your account up in that way. If you do not want to be a part of the group aspect you will need to notify us during the sign up process. Although, I think you’d have to be crazy to not want to meet all of our super awesome & beautiful models!
Money & Payments
How often will I get paid?
Payouts happen every 2 weeks on Thursday.
The pay period ends at midnight on the Sunday before the Thursday payday. So the last day you have to earn money is every other Sunday. After midnight EST that Sunday a new pay period starts and on the 4th day of the new pay period (Thursday) you receive all of your earnings from the previous pay period. I hope that makes sense!
How much money can I make?
This depends on what you look like. We try not to hire anyone that we don’t think can make at least $25 per hour. We have models who are making several thousand dollars per week but that is far above average.
If you take the time to invest in this line of work and learn the skills that we teach then $500-$1,000 per week is reasonable to expect.
What is the commission % and what does that mean?
The commission rate percentage is what determines how much money you make. Every site and every broadcaster is a bit different in the actual %. At Pandora Entertainment our starting percentage is 22.5%. This means that for every $100 in credits spent on you, you get $22.50. (See Why Here)
How do I actually receive the money?
We offer payments via direct deposit or Moneygram. Direct deposit and Moneygram are both paid on Thursday. There’s a $10 processing fee for direct deposit and a $15 processing fee for Moneygram.
What is the minimum payout?
The minimum payout is $100.
How do I actually make money as a webcam model?
You will make money from 1 on 1 private shows with customers, multi-user shows, tips, gifts, and sales of VODs.
Privacy
I am worried about people that I know in real life seeing me online. Is there anyway to prevent this?
We take privacy very seriously. Our network is equipped with a state of the art IP filtering system that allows you to block any US State or country from viewing your profile.
When you sign up you will be able to choose a stage name that you will appear under. We recommend that you keep your stage name private from anyone outside of this business, just like you would a password. This will make anyone you know in real life ever finding you virtually impossible.
Your real identity will never appear on our site.
It’s very effective to treat this like you are leading a double life. You have your “real life” right now. With us you’ll be creating a “different real life”. You’ll have a new name, a new income, and so on. You’ll be creating an identity from scratch working with us under your new stage name. It’s not the end of the world if your two lives overlap but it can create problems and it’s usually best to keep them separate.
I am worried this will come back and haunt me in the future on background checks. Am I crazy?
Not at all. This is a valid concern to have. In reality, we’ve never seen it be a problem. A “background check” is usually either a criminal background check or a credit check. The only effect this line of work would have on either is improving the credit check.
We recently had a former model live out this “coming back to haunt me” experience. He had just graduated from the police academy and was interviewing with a number of police departments. He underwent about as rigorous a background check as anyone can short of running a presidential campaign. They knew all about his webcam modeling past and grilled him about it in the interview. He made no attempt to hide it and told them everything they wanted to know. He went on to receive no less than 4 employment offers from multiple departments and is now working full time as a cop (unfortunately for him). It turns out they really didn’t care about webcam modeling. These organizations have rigorous codes of conduct they enforce in their hiring standards and performing as a webcam model was not a problem.
I have found that in reality YOU will tell yourself it is a much bigger issue than it actually is. Most people don’t care.
Will my income be reported to the IRS?
Yes, we are required by law to send the IRS a 1099-MISC earnings report annually declaring your income. This is filed by Pandora Entertainment LLC. That is also the company name that appears on all of your payments. Nothing ever says “Webcam Model” or “Live Sex Worker”.
Performing Online
What does a webcam model actually do?
Once your account is activated and you login your live chatroom will be broadcast across our network. Your room will fill up with customers who are eager to chat with you and you’ll be surprised to find that most of them are relatively normal and cool. The goal while online is to get people to start a private show, that is how you make money.
Once in private it is entirely up to you what you do. The customer may have specific requests and we encourage you to accommodate them. However, you are never required to do anything. It is totally your choice. Hint, don’t just take your clothes off when a private show starts. Wait and see what the customer does/says.
Do I have to get naked?
Nothing is required. But don’t take that as a cop out. All of our models besides a few very very rare cases perform naked in private shows. Not every private show involves nudity, many don’t. But if you come in planning on not being naked ever you’re going to have a tough time. We are an adult site that is pornographic in nature.
Being discerning about your nudity however is highly advised. We prefer models to be mostly clothed in open chat and only get undressed in private shows when they are being paid nicely to do so.
Can I see the customers?
Typically not. There is a feature for VIP customers called Cam2Cam where they are able to turn their webcam on during a private show. Your welcome to just minimize it if it makes you uncomfortable but many customers with C2C just want to chat so it’s like a normal video chat only your getting paid a bunch of money.
What equipment is required?
You will need:
- A computer or laptop (both Mac and PC work on our network).
- A high definition webcam.
- Broadband internet access.
Is there any training?
Yes. We provide both training materials and live online training to our models. Your first few times online you will most likely be on your own so that you can get a feel for things and make yourself comfortable. Then you will receive live 1 on 1 training from one of our coaches. You will be assigned a dedicated manager who will also be your coach. All of our managers are active webcam models and they also happen to be some of the top earning models on our network. This means you will be getting training from an actual proven expert in this field.
Getting Started
What all do I need to get started?
To setup your account we will need the following info.
- Your Desired Stage Name: This needs to be a “real sounding” name with a first and last name. So Lindsey Banks, Kayla Sparks, Johnny Mack, and Derrick Diesel are all acceptable names (and names of some of our great models). Sexygirl22 or ChocolatethunderXXX would be good examples of terrible names that won’t be accepted :). If you’re having trouble picking a stage name we will be happy to pick one for you after reviewing your pictures. Just ask.
- 5 or more pictures to use on your profile page: For optimum pictures please send us photo’s that have a 4:3 frame. This means 320×240, 800×600, or larger. The pictures can only have you in them, no other people. Please no hats or sunglasses. Please include one picture that is a clear head shot (you facing the camera straight on from the neck up).
- A picture or photocopy of your valid ID. This can be a driver’s license, passport, state issued ID card, or any other valid government issued ID. It can not be a school ID or any ID from a non-government organization.
Will my information be kept private?
Absolutely, all of your information will be kept private in accordance with our privacy policy.
We take every precaution possible to ensure your privacy.
Are you an equal opportunity employer?
Yes, we are.
We have very high hiring standards as we are hiring people to be models. This forces us to be superficial. We have models of all creeds and colors from all over the globe. Our decision of whether to hire someone or not is based entirely upon our assessment of whether or not they will be successful on our network.
